About Me
Hi there!
My name is Bri Mosley, and I am a performing artist for the theatre and concert stage.
I first considered performance as a career after playing a villainous eel in a musical, winning my high school its first Dazzle award.
Growing into my craft has required me to regularly reflect on the significance of authenticity. As a young actor, I find the most fulfillment in depicting the complex and often misunderstood emotions of people around my age, specifically highlighting experiences within the realm of mental health, self identity, and microaggressions. I believe that by validating the journeys of younger generations, we, as a collective, cultivate a more empathetic future.
My undergraduate training exposed me to a wide range of vocal styles, allowing me to move fluidly between genres while honoring the integrity of each work. My solo repertoire is centered on music by living composers and composers of color, exploring deeply human experiences such as grief, hatred-fueled violence, and belonging.
Today, performance feels like an act of transformation. It asks me to embody emotions beyond my own lived experience and create a visceral connection between the audience, the story, and the music. As I continue pursuing new opportunities, I strive to illuminate the complicated truths each composer, lyricist, and playwright entrusts to me.
